Michael A. Luongo has built a practice across Pennsylvania and New Jersey that moves between public service and private litigation. He entered legal work in the public sector and later transitioned into civil practice, carrying lessons from both environments into his current matters.
Luongo began his career in 2012 as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Philadelphia District Lawyer's Office. That early role placed him inside a busy government office during the formative years of his practice. He handled responsibilities typical of a courthouse setting and learned how public law offices prepare and present matters under tight deadlines.
In 2018 he joined Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin as an associate lawyer. There he worked alongside litigators in firm practice, taking on tasks that expanded his exposure to disputes outside the public sector. The move allowed him to apply courtroom and case-preparation habits developed in government to representation of private clients and firm matters.
In 2022 Luongo moved to High Swartz LLP where his title is Business Litigation and Municipal Lawyer. His role at High Swartz places him at the intersection of commercial disputes and municipal law. He handles contested matters that affect businesses and public entities, and he works on issues that arise from the relationship between local governments and the communities they serve.
