About Michael A.
Michael A. Keller built his legal foundation in two strong academic programs. He earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, completing his undergraduate studies in 2007. He then attended Georgia State University College of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2012.
Keller moved into practical legal work early. While in law school he served as a law clerk at Antonini & Cohen in 2011, handling research and drafting that supported litigation teams. After graduation he spent a year clerking for Judge Wendy Shoob, gaining an inside view of judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure. Those experiences shaped how he approaches case development and trial preparation.
Following his clerkship, Keller joined a litigation defense firm as a lawyer in 2013. There he worked on civil defense matters, taking depositions, preparing motions, and participating in trials and hearings. That period consolidated his litigation skills and exposed him to the demands of contested cases from the defense perspective.
In 2018 he became an associate at Slappey & Sadd LLC. His role at the firm expanded his courtroom work and client contact. He contributes to case strategy, oversees discovery, and crafts written advocacy for a range of civil matters. Colleagues describe him as methodical in the courtroom and careful in legal writing.
Keller is admitted to practice in Georgia and holds membership in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He remains active in professional circles and in continuing legal education. His background—time spent in a defense practice, service in a judicial chambers, and work at a plaintiff-oriented firm environment—gives him a broad view of civil litigation in Georgia courts.
Outside of litigation he has taken responsibility for mentoring junior attorneys and supervising paralegals at the firm. He often handles the initial client intake for new matters and guides early-stage investigation. His courtroom experience informs how he prepares cases for trial and how he advises clients on realistic outcomes.
As of 2026 Keller is based at Slappey & Sadd LLC, practicing in Georgia state courts. His current practice centers on civil litigation and trial work in state venues.
