About Robert Michael
Robert Michael Berger graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He went on to earn his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1988. Those academic years laid a conventional foundation for a legal career that has stretched across private practice and firm ownership in California.
He began practicing in the early 1990s. In 1992 he worked with the firm Kivo & Weiss. Six years later he was a founding partner in Kivo, Berger & Nelson, LLP, a position he held from 1998. That phase marked Berger’s first long stint as a firm owner and introduced him to the administrative side of running a legal practice.
The 2000s brought a series of moves through established regional firms. In 2003 he joined Yaspan & Thau, and in 2008 he moved on to Glass & Goldberg, LLC. Those years reflect a pattern of shifting roles between firm practice and partnership, and an accumulation of trial and courtroom experience typical of lawyers who handle civil matters in California courts.
In 2013 Berger opened the Law Offices of Robert M. Berger. He operates from Ventura and maintains a practice that serves clients throughout the state. Running his own office returned him to the responsibilities he first took on in 1998: client development, case management, and overseeing the everyday work of a small firm.
Berger has been active in local professional circles. He holds membership in the Ventura County Bar Association, a relationship listed as current since 2014. He is authorized to practice law in California and has built a steady presence in the region’s legal community over more than three decades.
He maintains a private practice in Ventura and handles legal matters across California.
