Merle Joy Turchik is the founder of Turchik Law Firm, P.C., located at 2205 E. Speedway Boulevard in Tucson, Arizona. With over 30 years of experience, she specializes in employment and government and administrative law, representing both public and private sector clients. Her practice encompasses many employment-related issues, including discrimination, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and whistleblower retaliation. She also handles matters before various administrative agencies, such as personnel boards and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Ms. Turchik earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of Arizona in 1981.
She then pursued her Juris Doctor at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, graduating with distinction in 1986. She is admitted to practice in Arizona and Illinois, as well as before the United States District Courts for the District of Arizona and the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. In addition to her practice, Ms. Turchik contributes to the legal community as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Pima County Superior Court and serves as an employment law arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. She is a frequent presenter on employment law topics and has authored chapters for the Arizona Employment Law Handbook. Ms.
