About Jessica
Jessica Miller studied liberal arts at the University of Texas at Austin before turning to law. She earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2013. The combination of a broad undergraduate education and a law degree from a school known for practical training set the stage for an early courtroom and corporate practice.
She is admitted to practice in Arizona and is authorized to appear before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Early in her legal career she worked as a litigation lawyer at Zoldan Law Group, where she handled contested matters across state and federal forums. In 2020 she founded Gunner Law Office. That same year she took on an in-house role as general counsel for JFQ Lending, LLC, splitting her time between borrower and lender issues and the tactical demands of litigation.
The move to start her own firm did not close the door on collaborative practice. In 2023 she served as of counsel at Weiler Law PLLC, consulting on cases and advising on litigation strategy. Those years exposed her to both the commercial side of lending and the procedural steps of contested litigation. Clients and colleagues describe her as practical and direct. She prefers plain talk in a legal setting and clear next steps in dispute resolution.
Her background spans courtroom work, contract disputes, and regulatory questions tied to consumer and commercial lending. That mix comes from ground-level litigation and a year as general counsel for a lending company. She has experience drafting agreements, arguing motions, and advising boards and executives on operational risk. The Ninth Circuit admission allows her to handle appeals when matters move beyond trial courts.
Today she leads Gunner Law Office and continues to maintain professional ties through occasional of counsel work at other firms. She combines litigation experience with in-house perspective when advising clients. Her current practice is focused on litigation and lending-related matters.
