About David Pierce
David Pierce Uffens built a path to law that began in communication and business studies and moved steadily into private practice. He holds a B.A. in Communication and Business Law and a Master of Communication Management from the University of Southern California, followed by a J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. His academic record reflects a blend of legal training and communication strategy.
His early professional life did not start in a courtroom. In 2009 he served as a branch manager for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., a role that put him in the middle of operational oversight, compliance issues and client service. That period provided management experience and exposure to regulatory frameworks that later informed his legal work.
Uffens transitioned into law firms and legal project roles after completing law school. In 2013 he worked as a contract lawyer and project manager at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, a position that involved supporting litigation teams and coordinating aspects of complex cases. He then joined Goldman & Zwillinger PLLC in 2015, where he continued in firm practice and litigation support.
In 2016 he became a partner at Best Law Office. That move marked his first leadership role inside a law firm, with expanded responsibilities for client matters and case strategy. In 2021 he joined Jaburg Wilk as a partner, continuing in private practice and firm management. Over the years he has taken on responsibilities that combine substantive legal work with project and practice oversight.
Uffens is licensed to practice in Arizona, Missouri and Washington. His professional trajectory crosses institutional and firm settings, from banking operations to national litigation shops to boutique practice. The variety of roles has given him experience managing teams, coordinating multi-party matters and handling client communications.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical and pragmatic. He brings organizational experience from his banking background and practical litigation experience from successive firm engagements. He now practices as a partner at Jaburg Wilk, handling litigation, case management and client counseling.
