About Melvin J

Melvin J Goldberg built his legal foundation at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science in 1983 and a J.D. in 1986. He completed law school on the heels of undergraduate study and moved into private practice soon after. The Montana education anchored a career spent largely in Nevada and California courts.

He began his post‑graduate legal work as an associate in 1986 at the Law Office of Marc L. Simon. Two years later he joined Althouse & Bamber as an associate, gaining further trial experience in civil matters. In 1991 he opened his own practice, Melvin Goldberg Injury Law, signaling a shift to representing individuals in injury cases. That firm name has remained his professional home since then.

Beyond private practice, Goldberg has taken on intermittent judicial and quasi‑judicial assignments. He served as an arbitrator for the Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County in 1994. In 2007 he sat as a Short Trial Judge Pro Tem in the same court. Those roles required him to manage contested hearings, weigh evidence, and write reasoned rulings — work that complemented his trial practice and gave him an inside view of courtroom dynamics.

Goldberg is admitted to practice in state and federal venues. His listed jurisdictions include Nevada and California, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also authorized before the Nevada Gaming Commission and Gaming Control Board. That roster reflects a practice that has navigated both state regulatory panels and federal trial dockets.

Over the years Goldberg has concentrated on cases arising from accidents and personal injury. He has handled litigation and settlement negotiations, appeared in state trial courts and federal courts, and overseen arbitration and short‑trial proceedings. His experience spans client intake through trial preparation, depositions, motion practice, and courtroom presentation.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who brings steady procedural knowledge to disputed matters and who has spent decades practicing in Nevada’s courts. He runs his practice in Las Vegas under the name Melvin Goldberg Injury Law and continues to represent injured clients in state and federal courts. He currently represents injured clients through Melvin Goldberg Injury Law.
