About Melissa Sue
Melissa Sue Doris has built a steady legal practice in New York and the surrounding county bar circles. She took a conventional route into law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Adelphi University in 2005 and followed that with a Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2011. Those degrees set the stage for a career that blends firm work and civic involvement.
After law school, Doris moved into private practice. In 2014 she joined Twomey Latham Shea Kelley Dubin & Quartararo, LLP as a lawyer. That position provided hands-on exposure to firm life and the kinds of matters that shape a mid-career attorney’s docket. She handled responsibilities typical of a firm lawyer, working on client matters and collaborating with colleagues.
In 2020 Doris took on an associate lawyer role at Burner Prudenti Law, P.C. The move marked a new chapter in her firm experience. At Burner Prudenti she became part of a team environment and continued to manage the client work entrusted to her. Her day-to-day practice has remained anchored in New York jurisdictional matters.
Outside the office, Doris has stayed active in professional and community organizations. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and has held that membership since 2011. She also serves on a committee of the Alzheimer’s Association, a role that connects her professional life with public-interest activity. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with both the legal profession and local nonprofit work.
Colleagues describe her as methodical and practical; clients have found her steady in handling paperwork and procedures. She balances case preparation with attention to procedural detail. She has developed practical skills through hands-on work at two different firms and through sustained participation in bar activities.
Doris remains licensed to practice in New York and continues to build her practice at Burner Prudenti Law, P.C. She handles client matters in the state and maintains active involvement in the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Alzheimer’s Association committee. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in New York matters at Burner Prudenti Law, P.C.
