About Melissa
Melissa Roudabush earned her Bachelor of Arts from Albion College before moving west to complete her legal education at UCLA School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2001. Her time at UCLA coincided with a period of brisk change at many law schools, and she arrived prepared for practice in a busy state bar environment.
After law school she established her career in California. She is licensed to practice in that state and built experience advising and representing clients across a range of matters common to California practitioners. Early positions included roles that exposed her to both courtroom work and client counseling, giving her a practical foundation for later leadership in a firm setting.
In 2011 she became a partner at R & S Law Group, LLP. That step reflected a shift into firm management as well as frontline legal work. As a partner she has taken on responsibilities that include supervising junior attorneys, participating in firm administration, and overseeing complex client files. Those duties require balancing strategic decisions for the firm with the everyday demands of client representation.
Roudabush maintains ties to the local legal community. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, where she follows developments that affect practitioners in the region. The bar association connection also provides a forum for continuing legal education and local professional contacts.
Her practice has been shaped by two decades working in California law. She handles matters that arise from the commercial and regulatory fabric of the state and coordinates with other professionals as cases require. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and practical; she prioritizes resolving client issues efficiently and in accordance with applicable law.
Outside the office she has continued informal study of changes in state procedure and regulatory trends. She has used that ongoing learning to advise clients on procedural risks and on potential pathways for dispute resolution. Her courtroom experience complements the negotiated resolutions she pursues when those paths serve a client’s interests.
She now serves as a partner at R & S Law Group, LLP, where she manages client matters from the firm’s California office.
