About Melinda
Melinda Previtera trained as a political scientist before turning to the law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Dickinson College in 2006 and completed her J.D. at Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2009. Those formative years set the stage for a practice rooted in courtroom work and client counseling.
Her legal career began in 2010 at the Law Office of Nicholas A. Clemente, PC, where she worked as an associate attorney. She joined Petrelli Law, P.C. in 2013 as a family law lawyer. In 2017 she became a partner at Petrelli Previtera, LLC. The progression reflects steady responsibility in private practice and growing leadership inside the firm.
Previtera is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has been active in bar and professional groups since early in her career. She is a member of the American Bar Association and has served on the Executive Committee of the Justinian Society of Lawyers since 2014.
She has long taken part in local professional institutions. Her memberships include the Nicholas Cipriani American Inn of Court, where she has participated since 2010. She is also active in the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Family Law Section and its Young Lawyers Division, both memberships beginning in 2010.
Her practice has centered on family law matters throughout her career. That background includes courtroom representation and the negotiation of settlements, along with advising clients on procedural and substantive issues that arise in family court. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and practical. Clients rely on direct counsel and clear explanations of options.
Previtera keeps a presence across the region. She maintains offices in Philadelphia, Doylestown, Princeton and Montgomery County through Petrelli Previtera, LLC. She splits her time between case work, court appearances and managing firm responsibilities. Her current practice focuses on family law matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
