About Megan
Megan Daic built a legal path that moves between courtroom work and teaching. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 and later completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Houston Law Center in 2013. Those degrees set the stage for a practice anchored in Texas.
Her early post-law school years were spent inside small and midsize firms. In 2014 she joined Brown Wharton & Brothers as an associate. That role gave her regular exposure to litigation practice. She moved on in 2016 to the Davis Law Group, again serving as an associate and expanding her day-to-day trial experience.
Also in 2016 she launched Daic Law. The firm allowed her to carry cases from intake through trial. In 2017 she returned to the University of Houston Law Center, this time as adjunct faculty. Her time teaching gave law students front-line exposure to litigation strategy and courtroom procedure. In 2018 she accepted a managing lawyer position at Heston Law Office while continuing to oversee work at Daic Law.
Daic’s professional life includes long-standing involvement in trial and bar organizations. She has held a board role at the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and served on the Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation board of directors since 2014. She joined the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice the same year. Her membership in the Houston Bar Association dates back to 2014, and she was part of the Garland Walker Inns of Court from 2014 to 2016. In 2019 she became a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and added memberships in the Mexican American Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association.
Colleagues describe her as a lawyer who values courtroom experience and professional involvement. Her work has centered on the practical tasks of preparing cases for trial, advising clients through litigation, and mentoring younger lawyers and students. She has balanced private practice responsibilities with educational duties and association leadership.
Her offices have been based in Texas. She continues to practice through Daic Law while maintaining ties to regional firms and bar organizations. She currently practices at Daic Law in Texas, concentrating on civil and trial litigation.
