About Matthew
Matthew Weinberg took a circuitous route to the law. He studied physics as an undergraduate, earned a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in 2006, then turned to legal study at the University of Michigan Law School, where he received his J.D. in 2010. The combination of a technical bachelor’s degree and a rigorous law school training shaped a methodical approach to complex problems.
After law school Weinberg entered practice and built experience in matters that cross state lines. He is admitted to practice in California and Virginia. Over time he moved into firm leadership and now serves as a partner at Inman & Strickler P.L.C. His role there includes advising clients, handling litigation, and helping manage firm operations. Colleagues describe him as steady and precise; clients have relied on him for work that benefits from careful analysis.
Weinberg’s physics background surfaces in his legal work. He approaches cases in a step-by-step manner, testing assumptions and breaking issues into manageable pieces. That analytical bent helps when cases turn on technical details, procedural sequencing, or contrasting legal regimes. He is comfortable reading technical material, correlating it to legal standards, and explaining it to judges or clients in plain terms.
Outside the office he remains connected to the local legal community. He maintains current membership in the Virginia Beach Bar Association and the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association. Those ties keep him plugged into continuing education and local practice developments. They also provide a network for coordinating representation and staying current on trends that affect clients in the region.
Weinberg’s work spans matters that require careful preparation and cross-jurisdictional coordination. He divides his time between counseling clients and appearing in court when litigation is necessary. At Inman & Strickler P.L.C. he also participates in the firm’s decision-making and mentoring of junior lawyers, helping translate complex legal theory into practical strategies for casework.
He continues to practice at Inman & Strickler P.L.C., where he focuses on legal matters that demand detailed analysis and representation across California and Virginia.
