About Matthew Bradley

Matthew Bradley Champagne earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006. Those years bookend a period of study grounded in regional institutions. Law school training at Loyola placed him among students schooled in Louisiana’s civil law tradition as well as the broader demands of American legal practice. His undergraduate degree provided a liberal arts foundation before he turned to professional legal study.

After receiving his law degree in 2011, Champagne began a career practicing in Louisiana. He is licensed to practice in the state. Over the years he has worked on matters that arise under Louisiana law and has handled client work that requires familiarity with the state’s legal procedures and court processes. His career has kept him close to issues that matter to local individuals and businesses and has required steady attention to statutory and procedural detail.

The legal work Champagne performs relies on core courtroom and counseling skills: legal research, written advocacy, and client advising. These are the tools most often called on in Louisiana practice. He applies those tools to disputes and transactions that turn on state law. Where cases touch on local rules, municipal ordinances, or the particularities of Louisiana’s civil law system, that background matters. His practice reflects the day-to-day demands of lawyers who serve clients inside a single state jurisdiction rather than across multiple states.

Today Champagne maintains a practice in Louisiana. He continues to accept matters that require admission and practice in the state’s courts. Colleagues describe him as familiar with the mechanics of practice in Louisiana, and he remains engaged in the work of representing clients there. He currently practices law in Louisiana.
