About Chase
Chase Villeret combined scientific study and legal training before setting up his own practice. He earned a J.D. from Louisiana State University — Baton Rouge in 2012, after completing an M.P.H. at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2009 and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from LSU in 2007. The sequence of degrees reflects a steady movement from laboratory and public health study into law.
He began practicing law in 2012 at The Wanko Law Office, LLC. That early experience put him inside Louisiana practice and courtroom procedures. In 2019 he opened Villeret Law Office, LLC and took on the responsibilities of running a small firm. His role as owner includes managing the office as well as representing clients.
Villeret’s academic background in biology and public health shapes how he approaches cases. He pays attention to medical records, expert reports, and technical testimony. Those skills are useful when factual disputes hinge on scientific detail. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and has held memberships in the 22nd JDC Bar Association and the Louisiana Association for Justice since 2019.
Colleagues describe him as someone who blends technical reading with ordinary client work. He moves between preparing filings and explaining complex documents to people who do not specialize in medicine or science. In a small-firm setting he handles many of the tasks that larger firms divide among specialists: client intake, factual investigation, coordination with experts, and court appearances.
Over time his practice has stayed rooted in Louisiana. He accepts matters that arise under state law and represents clients in local courts. That local orientation informs how he prepares cases and advises clients about timing, procedure, and expectations in state litigation.
Outside the office he maintains ties to state bar groups and the local judicial district association. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in Louisiana law and to other lawyers who practice in the same courts.
He now leads Villeret Law Office, LLC, handling matters in Louisiana state courts.
