About Blair B.

Blair B. Alford built his foundation in communication before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University – University of New Orleans, then stayed in the region to complete a J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Those two degrees shape how he approaches cases and client interaction.

Early in his career he moved into private practice and joined Broussard, David & Moroux. He has spent his professional life practicing in Louisiana. The work has kept him close to local courts and local legal culture.

Alford is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association for Justice. He maintains active ties to professional groups that track state and federal developments affecting trial practice. Those memberships also keep him connected to colleagues across the state.

On the technical side, Alford’s background in mass communication informs his courtroom style. He pays attention to how information is presented to juries and to the media. He prepares exhibits and witness testimony with an eye for clarity. He also works through the practical steps of litigation: drafting pleadings, arguing motions and preparing witnesses for trial.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation. He tends to break complex matters into their component parts and test each point against available evidence. That approach guides his litigation strategy from discovery through trial. He has handled contested matters at different stages, including pretrial motions and jury trials.

Alford keeps his practice anchored in Louisiana. He appears in state courts and follows developments in state procedure and substantive law. Outside the courtroom he spends time staying current on legal practice trends and on techniques for presenting technical facts in accessible ways.

He is based at Broussard, David & Moroux, where he continues to represent clients in litigation matters. His practice focuses on civil litigation in Louisiana courts and related pretrial work.
