About Matthew
Matthew Borowski built his legal foundation at Drexel University, earning a Juris Doctor in 2009. He entered practice in a period when immigration law was becoming increasingly complex, and he has navigated that complexity ever since.
He moved into private practice early and by 2013 had become a senior partner at Borowski Witmer Immigration Lawyers. That role placed him in the center of day-to-day client work and firm management. He balanced individual casework with overseeing other attorneys and shaping firm procedures.
Borowski’s qualifications extend across borders and courtrooms. He is authorized to practice in New York and in Ontario, Canada. He also holds admission to several federal appellate courts, including the 2nd, 4th, 9th and 11th Circuits. Those admissions reflect a practice that at times reaches beyond trial courts and into appellate review.
Over years of practice he has handled matters common in immigration law: family-based petitions, removal defense, naturalization and citizenship questions, and petitions for humanitarian relief. The cases require a mix of detailed paperwork, court appearances and strategy. He has worked on matters that involve both administrative agencies and federal courts, and he has represented clients at different stages of the process.
He remains active in professional organizations. He holds membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and belongs to the Bar Association of Erie County. He is also listed with the Law Society of Upper Canada. Those memberships give him access to continuing legal education and professional networks that many immigration practitioners find useful.
Colleagues describe him as practical and thorough. He emphasizes clear communication with clients and aims to explain options and possible outcomes in plain terms. That approach fits a practice where clients often confront unfamiliar procedures and significant personal stakes.
Today he continues at Borowski Witmer Immigration Lawyers. He divides his time between casework, appellate matters and mentoring less experienced attorneys at the firm. He currently practices immigration law at Borowski Witmer Immigration Lawyers.
