About Matthew A.
Matthew A. Maalouf followed a course that began in Boston classrooms and moved quickly into New England courtrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Boston University in 2006. Seven years later he completed his legal education at Suffolk University Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2013.
After law school, Maalouf established his practice in the region where he trained. He is an attorney at Granite Law Group. He is licensed to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts and routinely works on matters that require familiarity with the rules and procedures of courts in both states. His membership in professional groups keeps him connected to peers across state lines.
Collegial work and organizational involvement are recurring themes in Maalouf’s career. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of the Archdiocese of Boston. He also holds memberships in the New Hampshire Bar Association, the State Bar of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers and the New Hampshire Association for Justice. Those affiliations place him in regular contact with trial lawyers and bar colleagues, and they inform how he approaches case preparation and courtroom practice.
Colleagues describe him as attentive to procedural detail. He pays attention to court deadlines, filings and the practical mechanics of litigation. He prepares witnesses, annotates records and works to present evidence clearly in hearings and trials. Outside the courtroom he spends time reviewing case law and local rules to make sure arguments align with the controlling authorities in each jurisdiction.
Clients encounter an attorney who balances written work with in-court practice. He combines legal research and motion drafting with oral argument and examination of witnesses. He is comfortable appearing before judges and juries and in pretrial negotiations. His dual admission to the New Hampshire and Massachusetts bars allows him to handle cross-border issues that often arise when clients’ concerns straddle state lines.
Maalouf’s trajectory is shaped by local education and local practice. He remains active in professional circles and in a community legal organization in Boston. He currently practices at Granite Law Group, focusing on civil litigation and trial work in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
