About Israel
Israel Piedra built his legal foundation in New England. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bates College in 2012, where he studied politics and music performance. He then continued to Boston College Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2015. The arc of his education traces a steady move from broad undergraduate study to concentrated legal training.
While in law school he spent a summer as a judicial intern at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 2013. That placement gave him early exposure to appellate procedure and the deliberative side of judging. It is an experience that many young lawyers carry forward into courtroom work, research and brief writing.
After law school Mr. Piedra gained admission to practice in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He holds memberships in the Massachusetts State Bar and the New Hampshire Bar. He has been a member of the Nashua Bar Association since 2015 and joined the American Bar Association the same year. Those memberships suggest an interest in staying connected to legal developments and the local bar community.
Colleagues describe him as attentive to the details that matter in case preparation. He has handled matters that require careful legal research and clear written advocacy. The judicial internship and dual-state admissions support work that crosses state lines, especially in matters where regional practice and procedure are important.
Mr. Piedra practices law at Welts, White & Fontaine, PC. He works in a firm environment that handles litigation and transactional matters across the region. His standing in both state bars allows him to represent clients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts courts and to follow procedural differences between the two systems.
Outside of casework he has maintained steady involvement in bar associations since 2015. That participation keeps him connected to peers and to continuing legal education opportunities. He continues to build practical courtroom and appellate skills while serving clients in the Granite State and the Bay State.
He currently practices law at Welts, White & Fontaine, PC, representing clients in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
