About Mary A.
Mary A. Napier began her academic path at James Madison University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She went on to study law at the Charleston School of Law and graduated with a J.D. Those credentials set the stage for a practice anchored in Virginia.
Her early career included a position at Cravens & Noll, P.C., where she joined the firm in 2010. The role exposed her to courtroom work and client representation. In 2013 she became a partner at BoykoNapier, PLLC. The move into partnership marked a shift in responsibility. It also placed her in a leadership role within a small firm environment.
Napier maintains professional ties across the legal community. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and belongs to the Chesterfield County Bar Association. She also participates in the Metropolitan Richmond Women’s Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Her membership in the American Bar Association connects her to national practice developments. Those associations provide networks for referrals, continuing education, and trial practice discussions.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and direct in court. She balances client meetings, motion practice and trial calendars. Her background suggests steady courtroom exposure and familiarity with litigation dynamics. That experience informs how she prepares witnesses and frames arguments for judges and juries.
Outside of the courtroom she has taken part in local bar activities and attended professional seminars. She has kept her practice current through those events and through regular participation in her bar organizations. Her approach to the law is practical. She focuses on problem solving that aligns with client priorities and procedural realities.
Napier continues to practice law in Virginia and she centers her work on trial and litigation matters. Her practice combines courtroom work, case management and client counseling in the Commonwealth.
