About Martin
Martin Mehan built his professional path on two distinct educational stops. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Florida and later completed his legal studies at The John Marshall Law School. That combination gave him both a business sensibility and the technical training required for practice.
After law school he moved into private practice. Over the years he has handled the everyday tasks that fall to a litigating lawyer and to an advisor: analyzing legal problems, preparing filings, and representing clients in negotiations and hearings. He prefers clear, direct work and aims to make complicated processes understandable to those he represents.
Mehan’s undergraduate business degree informs much of his approach to legal matters. It has shaped the way he assesses financial information, evaluates contractual issues, and situates legal questions in a broader commercial context. Colleagues say he keeps a practical eye on the bottom line and tends to pursue solutions that make sense on paper and in practice.
Professionally he has been based at Gordon & Doner, P.A. There he works alongside other attorneys and staff, contributing to cases and matters assigned to the firm. His time at the firm has involved the kinds of responsibilities common to trial and transactional work, and he has taken part in both courtroom preparation and client counseling.
Outside the office he maintains a measured public profile. He does not seek attention for himself. Instead he focuses on steady preparation and clear communication. Clients who remain with an attorney tend to value predictability and responsiveness; those are the traits he emphasizes in everyday work.
Mehan’s trajectory from a B.B.A. at the University of Florida to a law degree from The John Marshall Law School is reflected now in his practice. He blends business-oriented analysis with legal training in his day-to-day tasks. He currently practices at Gordon & Doner, P.A., handling a range of matters for the firm’s clients.
