About Mark Steven
Mark Steven Paullin built a steady, practical career rooted in Richmond’s legal community. He earned a B.S. in business and marketing from the University of Richmond in 1981 and completed his J.D. at the University of Richmond School of Law in 1987. Those years framed his early approach to practice: methodical, procedural and client-centered.
He began practicing immediately after law school as an associate at Katz & Stone in 1987. That early period offered courtroom exposure and everyday client work. In 1990 he moved to Kasimer & Annino as an associate, expanding his litigation experience. By 1994 he had taken a position as an Assistant Lawyer General with the Virginia Office of the Lawyer General, where he handled government-side matters and learned to manage cases with administrative and regulatory dimensions.
Paullin returned to private practice work near the turn of the century. In 1999 he served as an associate at Jensen & Associates. Five years later he established his own firm, taking the title of president at Paullin Law Office, PC in 2004. Running his own practice required shifting between casework and firm management. He balanced client files, courtroom appearances and the daily decisions of a small firm.
His admissions cover trial and appellate work. He is authorized to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit. He has held memberships in professional organizations including the Chesterfield Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the National Truck & Heavy Equipment Claims Counsel. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing involvement in trial practice and in litigation that touches on transportation and heavy equipment matters.
At Paullin Law Office, PC he maintains a litigation practice that handles civil disputes and claims, including matters involving trucks and heavy equipment. He continues to accept cases and represent clients in state and federal matters, combining trial experience and appellate admissions to manage contested proceedings and client needs.
