About Mark
Mark Scoblionko’s path in law started after an undergraduate degree in English from Cornell University in 1961. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1965. Those academic years set the stage for a long career in litigation and community involvement.
Soon after law school he entered private practice. In 1970 he became part of Scoblionko, Scoblionko, Muir & Melman, a firm that carried his name and reflected a family connection to the practice. Over the decades he developed courtroom experience and pursued trial work that led to board certification as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Scoblionko is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and has credentials that reach the federal level, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters that begin in state court and, where necessary, move into the federal appellate system.
His bar and professional memberships are long-standing. He belongs to the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Lehigh County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. These affiliations reflect sustained engagement with the legal bar in both local and national settings.
Outside the courtroom he has been active in community organizations for many years. Since 1990 he has served as president of the Jewish Day School of Lehigh Valley Supporting Foundation/Endowment. He has held counsel roles for the Jewish Community Center of Allentown and the Jewish Day School of the Lehigh Valley beginning in 2010 and continuing to the present. He served on the board of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley and was vice president there from 1985 until 2012.
His career combines trial practice, court admissions at multiple levels, and sustained nonprofit leadership. He maintains a practice grounded in civil trial work and continues to serve clients and community organizations from his private practice base.
Currently he practices in matters that reflect his trial experience and his long involvement in community institutions.
