About Mark
Mark Schneid practices personal injury law in Illinois. He is a partner at Mathys & Schneid Personal Injury Lawyers, a position he has held since 2005. Schneid represents clients in state and federal courts and handles a broad range of civil litigation matters arising from accidents and injuries.
Schneid completed his undergraduate studies in accounting at DePaul University in 1993. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996. Early exposure to both law and accounting shaped an approach that pays attention to the financial as well as legal dimensions of injury claims.
His legal career began in the early 1990s. While still a law student he worked as a law clerk at Karlin & Fleisher in 1993. After graduating, he continued at Karlin & Fleisher as an associate in 1996. He then spent time as an associate at Walkup & Good in 1997, moved on to Anderson + Wanca in 1999, and joined Hunt, Kaiser, Aranda & Subach, Ltd. as an associate in 2002. In 2005 he became a partner at Mathys & Schneid. Those years in multiple plaintiffs' firms gave him steady courtroom practice and frequent exposure to complex liability and damages issues.
Schneid is admitted to practice in Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has been a member of the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois since 1996. His bar and association memberships span local and state organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage, Kane and Cook County bar associations, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Colleagues describe Schneid as methodical in preparing cases for trial. He focuses on gathering medical and financial evidence, arranging expert testimony, and testing liability theories under Illinois tort law. His accounting background informs settlement analysis and trial presentations when economic damages are at issue.
Outside the office he participates in legal organizations that provide continuing education and peer exchange. He has been active in county and state bar groups for many years and has served in roles that require coordination with other trial lawyers.
He practices at Mathys & Schneid Personal Injury Lawyers and concentrates on representing people injured in accidents and related civil litigation in Illinois courts and in the Northern District of Illinois federal courts.
