About Mark
Mark Jaffe entered law school after completing his undergraduate studies at George Washington University in 1990. He earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1993. Those years set the stage for a practice rooted in litigation and courtroom work.
Early in his career Jaffe joined the law firm that would become a long-term professional home. He began as an associate at Jaffe & Hough, P.C. after law school. In 1995 he took a year as a law clerk for the Honorable Russell M. Nigro of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, a position that gave him direct exposure to appellate reasoning and the workings of the state’s highest court. He later worked as an associate at McCann & Wall LLC before returning to Jaffe & Hough and becoming a partner in 2005.
Across those roles Jaffe developed experience handling contested matters in trial and appellate settings. He has appeared in state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also practiced in federal venues, including the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Membership in professional organizations has been a steady part of his professional life. He holds active memberships in the State Bar of Pennsylvania and the Bar for the State of New Jersey. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. Those affiliations reflect a practice that involves litigation and courtroom advocacy.
Jaffe maintains a presence across the region through several offices. He works out of locations in Philadelphia, Delaware County, Wilmington, New Jersey, and Montgomery County. That geographic spread allows him to take cases in both state and federal courts and to meet clients where their matters arise.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and practical in preparing cases. Over time he has combined trial experience with appellate exposure from his clerkship to shape the way he approaches disputes. He became a partner at Jaffe & Hough in 2005 and continues to practice there, representing clients in litigation matters. He concentrates his practice on trial litigation in state and federal courts.
