About Mark
Mark Edelson built his legal foundation at Georgia State University, where he earned a B.A. in 2007, and then at the University of Maryland School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2010. He entered the profession at a time when the courthouse calendar was packed and the pace of litigation was shifting with new federal rules. The early academic years prepared him for that kind of practice.
After law school he joined Goldman & Goldman, P.A. in 2010. He practiced there as a lawyer, taking on a range of matters and learning how to manage cases from intake through motion practice. That period gave him hands-on courtroom experience and a grounding in procedural and substantive law.
In 2017 he moved to Silverman Thompson as a litigation lawyer. There he expanded his courtroom work and handled federal and state matters across multiple venues. His docket has included filings in district courts and appellate work in the Fourth Circuit. He has argued motions and participated in trial preparations, often coordinating discovery and client strategy.
Edelson holds licenses in Maryland, Florida and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted in several federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the District of Maryland, the District of Columbia, the Northern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida and the Southern District of Florida, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to represent individuals and entities in a variety of forums and to pursue matters that cross state lines.
He maintains active memberships in several bar associations. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Association for Baltimore City, the Florida State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. Those memberships keep him connected to local legal developments and to peers who handle related issues.
Edelson’s career maps a steady climb through litigation practice. He now practices at Silverman Thompson, where he handles civil litigation matters in state and federal court. He currently represents clients in civil litigation matters at Silverman Thompson.
