About Mark A.

Mark A. Siesel graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a B.A. in political science in 1981 and earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1986. Those academic years set the stage for a long career in courtroom work and civil practice. He is a familiar presence in legal circles in New York and New Jersey.

Over the years Siesel has been admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and in several federal courts. His federal admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. He is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. He has maintained memberships in major trial and bar organizations since the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Siesel established The Law Office of Mark A. Siesel where he has handled matters in state and federal courts. His professional affiliations record long-standing involvement with trial lawyer groups. He has been a member of the New York State Bar Association since 1986, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1990, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice since 1993, and the Westchester County Bar Association since 1999. Those memberships reflect steady participation in the trial bar community.

Among his qualifications is a certification noted as A.B.C.N.Y.: Article 81--Mental Hygiene Law. That credential pertains to proceedings under Article 81, which govern guardianship and related matters for individuals with diminished capacity. It complements his courtroom practice and informs work that arises at the intersection of civil procedure and guardianship law.

Colleagues and court records show a career built on litigation and courtroom advocacy. He has prosecuted and defended claims in both state and federal venues. His practice history includes contested hearings and motions work that require experience with trial procedure and evidentiary issues. He has also engaged in client counseling tied to litigation strategy and case preparation.

Today Siesel continues to operate The Law Office of Mark A. Siesel.
