About Mario
Mario Palermo built a career that began in the classroom and moved into courtrooms and boardrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Boston College in 1993, then completed his legal education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 1996. Those years set the framework for a practice grounded in procedure and local professional engagement.
Palermo's professional path includes decades of bar association participation and local legal work. He joined the DuPage County Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association Lawyers' Referral Service in 1998. By 2006 he was serving on the West Suburban Bar Association Board of Directors and took on a leadership role as Vice President of the DuPage County Chapter of The Justinian Society of Lawyers. He continues in those roles and remains active in the county bar community.
In 2017 Palermo took the step of founding his own firm, Palermo Law Group, LLC, and he serves as its lead lawyer. The decision to launch a firm reflected a transition from practice within broader settings to managing his own office and client docket. Establishing a firm brought administrative duties alongside client work. It also placed him squarely in charge of case strategy, staffing decisions, and client intake for the practice.
Colleagues describe Palermo as steady and pragmatic in legal settings. He concentrates on issues that require careful case management and attention to procedural detail. Over the years he has balanced responsibilities in association leadership with daily casework. That combination has kept him plugged into local legal networks while maintaining a caseload.
Outside formal roles, Palermo's long-term membership across several county bar organizations has given him regular contact with peers across suburban Illinois. Those connections feed into how he runs his practice and approaches client matters. He remains based in the Chicago suburbs and continues to serve clients through Palermo Law Group, LLC, where he works as founder and lead lawyer.
