About Marijo C.
Marijo C. Adimey earned her law degree from Western New England University School of Law in 1998 after receiving a B.A. from Syracuse University in 1995. She moved into public service immediately after law school, taking up a courtroom role that put her into regular contact with prosecutors and defense counsel. The early years of her career gave her a steady immersion in trial work and case handling.
She began her legal career in 1998 as an Assistant District Lawyer in Bronx County. That role lasted through the period when she established the foundations of her litigation practice. Her private-practice career grew from there. In 2004 she became a partner at Simonson Hess Leibowitz & Goodman, PC, and a decade later she joined Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf as a partner in 2014. Over the years she has handled matters in both state and federal forums, bringing experience in contested proceedings and pretrial litigation.
Adimey holds admissions in New Jersey and New York, and she is authorized to appear in multiple federal district courts, including the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She maintains memberships in several professional organizations. Her affiliations include the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York Women’s Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice and The LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York. She has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar since 2005.
Her practice path shows steady movement from government work into established plaintiff-side firms and then into a larger regional partnership. She has worked on matters that require appearances in both state courthouses and federal courthouses across New York and New Jersey. She remains a partner at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf and conducts litigation in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York. Her current practice centers on litigation in state and federal courts.
