About Maria S.
Maria S. Fischer built a legal path that began in Florida classrooms and led into the federal courthouse. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 2009. Four years later she completed her J.D. at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2013. Those two degrees frame a practical approach to legal problems and an understanding of both commercial and procedural questions.
After law school, Fischer entered private practice. She is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in Florida as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Those admissions allow her to appear in state trial courts and in two federal districts that cover much of the state.
Fischer practices at Lawyers Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, P.A., where she has built her courtroom and litigation experience. Her work involves appearing for clients in hearings and managing filings in both state and federal dockets. She applies her business training to the procedural and factual issues that arise in contested matters, and she handles the logistical demands of litigating in multiple jurisdictions.
Clients and colleagues describe her as pragmatic in the courtroom and attentive in case preparation. She prepares pleadings, handles discovery, and argues motions. She also works on case strategy from intake through trial-level proceedings. Her memberships and court admissions reflect a practice that crosses municipal and federal lines, and she maintains active standing with the Florida Bar.
Fischer keeps her practice located at Lawyers Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, P.A., where she represents individuals and entities in matters filed in Florida state courts and in the Middle and Southern federal districts. She balances courtroom appearances with case management and client counseling. Her current work centers on litigation in Florida state and federal courts.
