About Deborah
Deborah Caputo built her academic foundation at Florida Atlantic University, where she studied psychology and criminal justice. She carried those interests into law school and earned her J.D. from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2022. The combination of behavioral science and legal training shaped her approach to case preparation and client communication early on.
After completing law school, Caputo moved into legal practice in Florida. She joined Lawyers Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, P.A., and has handled client matters there since. Her day-to-day work involves preparing filings, meeting with clients, and collaborating with colleagues at the firm to move cases forward through the state’s courts.
Caputo’s undergraduate studies remain a visible influence on her legal technique. Courses in psychology helped her develop listening skills and an attention to how people respond under stress. Criminal justice coursework introduced her to the mechanics of the legal system and the procedures that govern court processes. Together, those disciplines inform the way she frames issues, gathers information, and explains options to clients.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in document preparation and steady when cases require careful factual development. She works on assignments that require both factual investigation and clear written work. She also spends time in client meetings, translating legal standards into plain language so clients understand their choices.
Caputo is licensed to practice in Florida and practices through Lawyers Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, P.A. She maintains ties to the local legal community and remains engaged in the daily work of representing clients in state matters. Her current practice is concentrated at Lawyers Jo Ann Hoffman & Associates, P.A., providing legal services to clients across Florida.
