About Marcus G.
Marcus G. Keegan trained at Emory University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 1999 after completing a B.A. in criminology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He moved into public service early in his career and spent time as a trial lawyer for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 2002. That role gave him courtroom exposure and hands-on experience handling employment disputes.
He transitioned into private practice in the mid-2000s. In 2004 he joined Miles McGoff & Moore as an associate. Three years later he took an associate position at Franzen & Salzano. In 2009 he opened his own firm and became managing partner of Keegan Law Office, LLC. Over the years he has maintained admissions in Georgia, the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit, allowing him to handle matters at both the state and federal level.
Keegan also pursued alternative dispute resolution training and holds a mediation certification from the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. That credential complements his litigation background and offers another pathway for clients seeking resolution outside a courtroom. He pairs courtroom experience with mediation skills when appropriate, depending on the case and client goals.
Outside the office he has stayed active in professional and community organizations. He has been a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association — Georgia since 2009 and joined the American Bar Association in 2010. Since 2008 he has been involved with Hope Atlanta, a program of Traveler’s Aid of Metro Atlanta, where he serves on the board and holds the position of secretary. Those commitments reflect an interest in legal issues that intersect with community services.
His career shows a steady movement from government litigation to private practice and firm leadership. He has handled employment-related matters in multiple forums and added mediation to his professional toolkit. Colleagues and clients have seen him work across administrative proceedings, state courts, and federal courts in the Eleventh Circuit.
He currently concentrates his practice on employment litigation and dispute resolution at Keegan Law Office, LLC.
