About Marc
Marc Fitapelli built his legal foundation in the New York area. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint Francis College in 2004. He went on to receive his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2007.
He began his career that same year as a real estate lawyer at Epstein Becker & Green LLP. The role placed him in transactional and regulatory matters typical of larger firms. In 2008 he moved to Gibbons P.C., where he continued to develop practical courtroom and counseling skills. By 2011 he was a partner at Fitapelli | Kurta, a step that shifted him into firm leadership and case development.
Across those early positions, his work intersected private practice and courtroom matters. He has experience handling matters that require both negotiation and litigation. Those experiences helped shape how he approaches client work: clear assessment, steady legal strategy, and attention to procedural detail.
Fitapelli is licensed in New York and New Jersey, and he is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He holds memberships in several professional organizations. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the New York City Bar Association. He also belongs to the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).
At Fitapelli | Kurta, he is part of a team that manages complex civil disputes and counsel clients through arbitration and litigation procedures. He has taken cases from intake through hearing and has been involved in both settlement negotiations and trial preparations.
