About Malosack
Malosack Berjis earned his J.D. from Trinity Law School in 2006 and entered legal work soon after. He began his early career inside the courts, serving as a law clerk at the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles in 2004. That on-the-ground exposure to courtroom procedure and case flow came before he completed law school. After earning his degree he returned to clerking, working at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office in 2007 and again in 2008. Those early years gave him experience on both civil process and criminal defense practice environments.
Berjis moved into private practice in the years that followed. He opened the Law Office of Malosack Berjis in 2012, handling cases under his own flag. Six years later he became managing partner at BERJIS l MYERS, a role he has held since 2018. The shift to a partnership role broadened his responsibilities. He divides his time between supervising case strategy, advising clients, and managing daily firm operations.
Throughout his career Berjis has maintained active ties to professional groups that reflect his interests. He joined the Los Angeles County Bar Association in 2012 and became a member of several national and state plaintiff-oriented organizations in 2013, including the American Association for Justice and the National Police Accountability Project. He added memberships in groups focused on consumer advocacy the same year, joining the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and Consumer Lawyers of California. Since 2014 he has been associated with the Public Justice Foundation. Those affiliations point to his professional network and the legal communities where he participates.
His work history shows a mix of public-sector and private practice experience. Clerking in the Superior Court and at the public defender’s office exposed him to criminal and procedural law early on. Starting a solo practice in 2012 allowed him to develop client-facing skills and litigation experience. As managing partner at BERJIS l MYERS he now handles both the legal and organizational demands of running a mid-sized practice.
Berjis is licensed to practice in California and remains active in local and national legal organizations. Colleagues describe him as practical and hands-on in litigation preparation. He writes and speaks less frequently in public forums than some peers, preferring direct client work and case development. He currently practices at BERJIS l MYERS, handling civil litigation, consumer matters and police accountability cases.
