About Lynn

Lynn Bodi is a seasoned family law attorney based in Madison, Wisconsin. She has been practicing law in Wisconsin since 1987, focusing primarily on family law and juvenile law. As a founding member of The Law Center for Children & Families, she has dedicated her career to advocating for children's rights and family welfare. Lynn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1984, graduating with honors and elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

She then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1987. Throughout her 30-year career, Lynn has handled numerous jury and court trials, specializing in contested and uncontested family law proceedings. Her areas of expertise include surrogacy, adoption (both contested and uncontested), termination of parental rights, child custody, guardianship, and foster parent rights. She has represented clients in various legal stages, from initial filings to appeals.

In addition to her legal practice, Lynn has been actively involved in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA). She has served three terms on the Board of Trustees, including a term as Vice President, and contributed to revising the AAAA’s Code of Ethics. In 2011, she received the U.S. Congressional “Angel in Adoption” award, recognizing her contributions to adoption and children's welfare.

Lynn is fluent in French, which has been instrumental in assisting international clients, particularly those from French-speaking countries, with surrogacy and adoption matters in Wisconsin. She continues to be an active member of the Wisconsin State Bar and maintains a strong commitment to the legal community.
