About Cedric

Cedric Kostelyna earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2022 after beginning his legal studies in 2019. His time in Madison included both classroom work and practical training. He completed coursework that emphasized dispute resolution and ethics alongside traditional doctrinal subjects. The law degree is the cornerstone of a practice that has continued to develop in the Upper Midwest.

Early in his legal career he spent time in an academic role. In 2021 he served as an instructor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. That experience placed him back in a teaching environment while he was still completing his professional training. Teaching gave him a chance to refine explanations of complex legal concepts and to work directly with students on practical exercises.

Kostelyna is admitted to practice in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. He holds membership in the State Bar of Wisconsin. These jurisdictions shape where he appears in court and where he takes cases. He maintains professional ties in both states through bar activities and networking among local practitioners.

His certifications point toward work in family law and collaborative practice. Kostelyna completed the Building Blocks of Collaborative Divorce program and holds the CFLCW credential. That training prepares lawyers to handle divorce matters using the collaborative model and to work alongside financial and mental-health professionals when clients choose that route. The curriculum emphasizes negotiation, client-centered planning, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

At present he is part of the team at The Law Center, S.C. There he conducts client interviews, negotiates settlements, and prepares documents for court when litigation is necessary. His practice combines courtroom readiness with attempts to resolve matters through settlement or collaborative processes, depending on client needs. His prior classroom experience continues to inform the way he communicates options and risks to clients.

As of 2026, Kostelyna continues to practice at The Law Center, S.C., handling collaborative divorce and related family-law matters.
