About Luke

Luke Andrews began his path to law after studying Russian language and literature at Dartmouth College, where he earned a B.A. in 1991. He continued his studies at Emory University School of Law and finished his J.D. in 1998. That academic background — a mix of liberal arts and legal training — shaped an approach that values clear analysis and careful preparation.

After law school, Andrews built a career at the trial table. He practices as a trial lawyer at Poole Huffman, LLC. Over the years he has appeared in Georgia courts and in federal courtrooms across the state. He is admitted to practice in Georgia, to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

The work he does is courtroom-centered. Colleagues describe him as someone who prepares cases to be litigated, not just negotiated. That orientation shows up in how he handles discovery, motion practice and jury preparation. He brings cases to hearings and trials in state and federal venues, and he has worked through the procedural demands those forums impose.

Andrews is active in professional circles. He maintains membership in the State Bar of Georgia and serves as a Master in The Judge Clarence Cooper American Inn of Court. Those roles put him in regular contact with judges, defense and plaintiff lawyers, and newer attorneys who seek mentorship in trial skills and ethics. The Inn of Court involvement, in particular, signals an investment in collegial legal education and in fostering practical courtroom skills among members.

At Poole Huffman, LLC he is part of a firm that tries cases and prepares litigation strategy. His courtroom experience and federal admissions allow him to handle matters that move beyond state lines and into the federal system. He balances trial work with pretrial litigation tasks and courtroom advocacy. He is known to take an active role in case development, from pleadings through trial.

Outside of the courtroom, Andrews’s academic background in language and literature informs his approach to legal writing and argument. He tends to favor clear, direct briefs and organized oral presentations. That stylistic preference is consistent across his litigation files.

He currently practices as a trial lawyer at Poole Huffman, LLC, handling matters in Georgia state courts and in the federal courts that serve the state, including the Eleventh Circuit.
