About Rebecca
Rebecca Rigas completed her legal training at Emory University School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2023 after a four-year undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin where she studied political science and government and graduated in 2020. Her academic path moved quickly from classroom to courtroom training, and she entered the practice of law within a few years of finishing college.
After law school, Rigas joined Poole Huffman, LLC as a trial lawyer. At the firm she has been involved in litigation across different stages of cases. Her work includes investigation, drafting and responding to motions, conducting depositions, preparing witnesses and participating in bench and jury trials. Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and practical in courtroom settings.
Her time at Emory provided a foundation in legal research and writing. Those skills showed up in early filings and briefs at Poole Huffman. She moved quickly from junior tasks to leading discrete aspects of litigation, handling evidentiary hearings and arguing matters in court under the supervision of the firm’s trial team. That transition illustrates how recent graduates can take on responsibilities when mentors and supervisors create space for courtroom experience.
Rigas’s litigation practice involves both pretrial work and trial presentation. She prepares exhibits and demonstratives, liaises with experts, and develops case theory. In settlement talks she helps evaluate risks and outcomes for clients. In court she focuses on clear questioning and concise argument. The record of courtroom appearances is still building, but her role at the firm places her consistently in front of judges and juries when matters proceed to trial.
Outside the courtroom, Rigas applies her undergraduate background in political science to analyze statutory frameworks and regulatory histories that bear on her cases. She keeps current on developments that affect litigation strategy and procedural practice. She currently practices trial work and civil litigation at Poole Huffman, LLC.
