About Logan B.

Logan B. Winkles built a steady legal path through Georgia institutions and federal court experience. He studied at Berry College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended The University of Georgia School of Law and received his J.D. before beginning work in the federal courts.

His first notable legal posting came in 2006, when he served in a judicial clerkship for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The clerkship placed him inside the day-to-day of federal litigation. It exposed him to case management, legal research and the written opinions that shape practice in the district.

After the clerkship, Winkles moved into private practice. By 2008 he was an associate at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, LLP. At that firm he handled assignments typical for associates at national firms: drafting pleadings, assisting on motion practice and participating in discovery. Those years gave him experience on complex matters and a sense of how larger firms operate.

He is a member of several professional organizations. He holds current memberships in the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to developments in the profession and to colleagues across the state.

Winkles now practices at Cannon, Mihill & Winkles, LLC. He works from that office on matters that arise in Georgia courts and on issues that intersect with federal jurisdiction. His work is grounded in the procedural and substantive rules that govern litigation in the state and federal systems. He tends to the written work that underpins litigation and to the preparation that precedes hearings and trials.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and straightforward in his courtroom presentations. Clients who retain him can expect direct communication about case status and the practical steps ahead. He balances litigation tasks with client counseling, offering plain explanations about legal options and likely next steps.

He continues to participate in bar activities in Atlanta and statewide. He studies new opinions and rule changes that affect practice in Georgia. His practice centers on representing clients in matters before Georgia courts.
