About Lindsey

Lindsey Marriott built her legal foundation at Clemson University, where she earned a B.A. in 2005, and at the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, where she received her J.D. in 2008. Those years shaped her early view of the law as a practical craft. She arrived in law school with an academic background and left with a professional purpose.

Her career has been rooted in Florida. Over time she moved between practice and professional development roles. She has taken on responsibilities that reach beyond the day-to-day file work. That broader involvement led to her current role with the Canakaris Inn of Court, where she serves as Executive Director. In that position she oversees programming, coordinates activities for members, and helps organize presentations that bring judges and lawyers together for discussion and study.

Marriott’s work at the Inn of Court points to a professional interest in legal education and collegial exchange. She has organized panels and supported opportunities for younger lawyers to observe courtroom practice and ethical discussion. Those efforts reflect a sustained engagement with the legal community rather than a single courtroom focus.

Alongside her Inn of Court duties, Marriott practices law in Florida through George & French, Lawyers at Law. At the firm she balances client responsibilities with administrative and organizational tasks. Her role ties daily practice to the networks and programs she manages for the Inn, creating connections between private practice and professional development.

Colleagues describe Marriott as methodical and steady in handling the administrative side of legal institutions. She brings that same steadiness to client matters and to event planning for the Inn. Her path shows an attorney able to move between practicing law and supporting the structures that sustain the profession.

As of 2026 she continues to live and work in Florida, combining practice at George & French, Lawyers at Law with leadership at the Canakaris Inn of Court. Her current practice combines client work at George & French, Lawyers at Law and her role in legal education and Inn of Court leadership.
