About Donald Wesley Hendry
Donald Wesley Hendry Jr. built his legal foundation in Florida. He attended the University of South Florida before earning his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2001. Those years set the stage for a practice grounded in courtroom experience and public service.
Early in his career he moved into public defense. In 2005 he served as an assistant public defender in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida. That work placed him in front of judges and juries, where he handled arraignments, motions and trials. The courtroom time shaped his approach to case preparation and client counseling.
After years in the public sector, he shifted into private practice. In 2016 he opened the Law Office of Don W. Hendry, P.A. Running a solo practice required managing both legal strategy and the business side of law. Two years later, in 2018, he formed Hendry & Parker, P.A., becoming a co-owner. That move expanded the practice and brought new responsibilities in firm leadership and client intake.
Hendry has maintained ties to the local legal community. He has been a member of the Clearwater Bar Association since 2018. He also holds memberships in other professional organizations. Those connections keep him engaged with developments in Florida law and local court practices.
His practice has stayed rooted in Florida courts. Over time his work has combined courtroom litigation and client advocacy. Colleagues and clients see him as a practitioner who understands trial dynamics and case management. He balances the demands of litigation with the paperwork and preparation that precede courtroom appearances.
Outside the courtroom he has handled the tasks that come with running a law office: supervising staff, developing case strategy, and managing client expectations. That blend of roles — attorney, manager, and local bar participant — shapes how he approaches each matter that comes through the firm.
He currently practices at Hendry & Parker, P.A., where his work centers on criminal defense and trial representation.
