About Linda M.
Linda M. Anderson has built a steady career in law that blends technical tax training with long experience in elder and special needs planning. She earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University. Those academic credentials underpin much of her practice.
After completing her studies she entered practice in Pennsylvania. In 2004 she opened Anderson Elder Law and has served as its owner since then. The firm focuses on the legal issues that commonly affect older adults and families caring for relatives with disabilities. Over the years she has handled matters that intersect probate, benefits eligibility, and tax concerns for clients in the state.
Her professional affiliations trace a consistent interest in elder and estate law. She has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 1996 and holds the Certified Elder Law Lawyer credential from NAELA. She joined the Special Needs Alliance in 2008, and became a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 2014. Locally, she serves on committees in the Delaware County Bar Association and has maintained membership there since 1987. She also holds membership in the Chester County Bar Association beginning in 2017.
Colleagues describe her as someone who prefers careful preparation and attention to legal detail. Her LL.M. in Taxation supports work that involves tax issues tied to trusts, estates, and long-term care planning. Cases she handles often require coordinating benefit applications, drafting protective instruments, and advising on estate administration matters that include tax considerations.
She has taken on leadership roles in bar association committees and professional groups, participating in discussions about best practices for elder care law and special needs planning. That participation keeps her current on changes in federal and state benefits rules and evolving estate tax questions. It also connects her to a network of lawyers who handle related areas across the region.
Today she continues to operate Anderson Elder Law in Pennsylvania. Her practice addresses estate planning, elder law, special needs planning, and associated tax issues.
