Linda Hendrix McPharlin is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1976 and holds bar number 71917. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. McPharlin is a founding partner at McPharlin Sprinkles & Thomas LLP, a law firm located in San Jose, California. She has been practicing law for over four decades, serving clients throughout the Santa Clara County area.
Ms. McPharlin earned her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1976. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. During her time at Santa Clara University, she distinguished herself academically, graduating at the top of her class.
Ms. McPharlin concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law and business litigation. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving wage and hour disputes, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, harassment, and discrimination claims. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. McPharlin has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from 1978 to 1985 and as a partner at Hopkins & Carley from 1985 to 1990.
Ms. McPharlin is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. She is also a certified mediator through the American Arbitration Association, allowing her to serve as a neutral third party in dispute resolution processes. Ms. McPharlin is fluent in English, enabling her to effectively serve the diverse communities of Santa Clara County.
