About Leihernst
Leihernst Lamarre built his legal foundation across two Florida institutions and Cooley Law School. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and later completed a Juris Doctor and an LL.M. in Taxation at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Those academic steps steered him toward tax law and public service.
Early in his career he worked inside government. In 2014 he served as a tax law specialist at the Florida Department of Revenue. That role put him on the front lines of state tax administration and enforcement. He handled matters that required familiarity with administrative rules and agency procedures.
He moved into private practice in 2017 as an associate at Omni Financial. The change brought a different pace and different pressures. He then joined J. David Tax Law LLC, where his titles changed as his responsibilities grew. He was a senior lawyer in 2018, then took on supervisory duties in 2020 and shortly afterward became director of legal training. Those positions involved overseeing other attorneys and shaping internal training programs for tax matters.
Lamarre is admitted to practice in Florida and before several federal forums. His bar authorizations include the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Tax Court. Those credentials reflect his work on tax controversy and litigation, matters he has handled in agency and court settings.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. His path from a state revenue office to a firm focused on tax disputes gave him exposure to both sides of many tax issues. He has experience supervising teams and designing training for less-experienced lawyers, which expanded his role beyond individual casework.
He now heads a small practice out of Lamarre Law Group, P.A. The office handles tax-related legal work and represents clients in administrative and federal tax forums. He continues to represent individuals and entities in tax matters and manages the practice’s training and case supervision.
Lamarre’s present work centers on tax law, including representation in administrative proceedings and litigation in federal tax venues.
