About Lawrence
Lawrence Lewis built his academic foundation across three institutions and three disciplines. He earned a B.A. from Pace University in 1989, completing a dual major in marketing and psychology. He went on to study philosophy at New York University, receiving an M.A. in 1993. He capped his formal education with a J.D. from Cornell University in 1995.
Those years of study shaped a lawyer comfortable with both analytical rigor and practical argument. After law school he settled into a practice that covers two state jurisdictions: Georgia and Pennsylvania. Over time he developed a practice rhythm that spans the region rather than a single local market.
Since 2001 Lewis has been active in mock trial as a lawyer and coach. That work has kept him close to courtroom training and to younger generations of students interested in legal practice. Coaching has also provided opportunities to refine oral advocacy strategies and to test different instructional approaches in real-time competitions.
Lewis practices through his firm, Lawrence Lewis, P.C. He has maintained that office while advising clients in matters that require an understanding of differing state rules and procedures. Working across state lines has required attention to procedural detail and an ability to adapt pleadings and hearings to local practice.
Colleagues and opponents describe him as deliberate in preparation and direct in the courtroom. He prefers clear, unadorned argument. He tends to emphasize facts and procedure rather than rhetorical flourish. That approach translates to papers and oral presentations that read plainly and aim for legal clarity.
Outside of courtrooms and coaching events, Lewis’s day-to-day work includes client consultations, drafting, and appearances in state tribunals. He balances courtroom time with the administrative demands of running a solo or small firm practice. That balance has defined much of his professional life.
Now in practice in 2026, he continues to accept matters in both Georgia and Pennsylvania through Lawrence Lewis, P.C. He now practices law from his firm, handling client matters in both jurisdictions.
