About Laurie B.

Laurie B. Gibson earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. She completed her law degree after several years of study and preparation for practice. The program provided her the foundation in doctrine and procedure that she carried into early clinical and prosecutorial work.

While still in law school she served as a legal extern in 2008 at the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. That placement put her inside a busy courtroom environment and exposed her to the day-to-day demands of public prosecution and case preparation. The experience shaped her approach to client matters and courtroom procedure early in her career.

In 2011 she opened her own practice, the Law Office of Laurie B. Gibson. Running a small practice has required handling a broad array of tasks: client intake, motion practice, negotiation and court appearances. She has maintained that office since founding it and managed both the practice side and the litigation side of cases for private clients.

Gibson has pursued additional professional training beyond law school. She completed mediation training through Beech Acres Mediation, which equipped her to conduct and participate in structured dispute-resolution sessions. She has also completed training from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, a program known for practical skill-building in courtroom techniques. Those programs inform how she prepares cases for trial and how she approaches settlement discussions.

Her professional associations include membership in the Clermont County Bar Association, where she has been active since 2015, and participation in the Ohio State Bar Association's Family Law Committee since 2013. Participation on the Family Law Committee places her in the company of attorneys working on issues such as divorce, child custody and related proceedings, and she regularly follows developments in that area of practice.

Colleagues describe her style as direct and pragmatic. She handles the administrative responsibilities of a small firm while appearing in court when matters require. Her practice is conducted out of the Law Office of Laurie B. Gibson and serves clients in Ohio.

She continues to maintain her practice in Ohio, combining mediation skills and trial training in handling family law matters and court representation for private clients.
