About Lauren
Lauren Ashley built her legal training in two Midwestern institutions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio State University in 2016. Four years later she completed her J.D. at the University of Cincinnati.
Her entry into practice came quickly after law school. In 2020 she served as a law clerk at Godbey Law LLC. That role gave her early exposure to client files and courtroom preparation. The following year she joined Shur Law Group as an attorney and has worked there since.
Those first positions framed the kind of day-to-day work she handles. Early on she handled research, drafted pleadings and assisted in hearings. She learned case management and developed the routines of client intake and file maintenance. The hands-on experience as a clerk and junior attorney provided steady practical training that she uses in client matters.
Over time she has taken on a broader caseload at Shur Law Co., LPA. Her work involves direct client contact, document drafting and courtroom appearances when required. She splits time among multiple office locations, which means managing matters across different local courts and coordinating with colleagues at several firm sites.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She prepares files carefully and follows procedural steps closely. That approach helps on tight deadlines and in contested matters where small details matter. She also spends time counseling clients about process and likely next steps, so they can make informed choices as a case unfolds.
Outside the office she remains connected to the profession through continuing education and firm-based trainings. Those programs help keep her current on procedural changes and local court rules. She continues to develop practical courtroom skills and client counseling techniques that she first began building as a law clerk.
Today she practices with Shur Law Co., LPA and sees clients from the firm’s Hyde Park, Downtown, Blue Ash, West Chester, Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Akron and Chagrin Highland offices. Her day-to-day practice includes client representation, court filings and case preparation across those office locations. She currently practices law at Shur Law Co., LPA, serving clients from multiple offices in Ohio and northern Kentucky.
