About Larry H.
Larry H. Chesin has spent decades connected to the Georgia legal community. He completed his undergraduate studies at the George Washington University Mount Vernon campus, earning a B.A. in 1976. Three years later he received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1979. Those formative years set the stage for a long career in law centered in Georgia.
After law school Chesin entered practice in the state and developed a steady presence in legal circles. Over time he balanced client work with participation in professional organizations. He holds memberships in the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association, and he is active in local groups including the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. Those affiliations reflect a routine engagement with the institutions that shape legal practice in the region.
Today Chesin serves as Of Counsel at Parks, Chesin & Walbert. In that role he contributes experience to the firm’s work and provides counsel to colleagues on complex matters. He often handles advisory tasks and supports litigation and transactional teams when cases require additional review or perspective. The Of Counsel title signals a continuing practice and an ability to assist on matters that call for seasoned judgment.
Colleagues describe him as a steady presence who brings institutional knowledge to client files. He has worked in settings that required both courtroom preparation and written advocacy, and he draws on that background when advising clients or mentoring younger lawyers. Outside of firm responsibilities he participates in bar activities and local legal organizations, helping to maintain professional standards and to exchange ideas with peers.
Chesin’s career spans a period of change in the legal profession. He began practicing in an era before widespread electronic filing and has since adapted to technological and procedural shifts while maintaining a traditional approach to client relationships. He is known for careful file review, practical legal thinking and a methodical style of handling matters. Those traits inform the way he approaches both negotiations and courtroom work.
He remains licensed to practice in Georgia and maintains an active role at Parks, Chesin & Walbert. Chesin continues to handle client matters and to advise other attorneys at the firm as part of his current practice focus.
