About Kyle D

Kyle D Pierce grew up in Alabama and took a direct path into law after finishing undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in 2013. He earned a B.A. in Telecommunications and Film through the Computer-Based Honors Program. Three years later he completed his J.D. at Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, graduating in 2016. Those years included time in the courthouse and in the library. He balanced classroom work with practical experience and research roles.

Early in law school Pierce served as a judicial clerk for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama under Judge David Kimberley in 2014. That position gave him a front-row view of courtroom procedure and case management. He followed that with a research assistant role at Cumberland in 2015 and a law clerk stint at Tipler Law Offices the same year. Those roles kept him tied to both academic inquiry and the day-to-day rhythm of legal practice.

After passing the bar, Pierce opened his own practice. He began practicing as the Law Offices of Kyle D. Pierce in 2016. Over the next several years he handled a range of matters and built a local practice. In 2022 he became managing lawyer at Pierce & Pierce, PLLC. The shift to a managing role broadened his responsibilities. He moved from solo practice to overseeing operations and client intake while continuing to handle cases.

Pierce’s professional memberships reflect the threads of his work. He has been a member of the Alabama State Bar since 2016 and belongs to the Etowah County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He also maintains memberships in organizations tied to civil litigation and criminal defense, including the American Association for Justice, the Alabama Association for Justice, and the Alabama Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Outside the courthouse he is active in civic groups. He has been involved with Kiwanis since 2013 and serves in roles connected to Kiwanis International’s programs in Alabama.

Colleagues describe Pierce as pragmatic in the courtroom and thorough in preparation. He draws on hands-on courtroom experience and years of practice in the state courts. He manages a small firm and remains accessible to clients. He continues to work in Alabama, handling matters that arise there. His current practice centers on civil litigation and criminal defense in Alabama.
