About Kristy L.

Kristy L. Fischmann earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 2007 after completing a bachelor’s degree at Utica College of Syracuse University in 2003. She arrived at law school after an undergraduate course of study in central New York and finished at a time when many graduates were entering a competitive legal market. Her academic record placed her among contemporaries produced by Syracuse’s programs in litigation and public law.

After law school she became licensed to practice in New York and in the federal courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of New York. Those admissions allow her to appear in both state and federal trial courts. Over time she has built a practice rooted in courtroom work and representation across multiple venues in the state.

Fischmann joined Bottar Law, PLLC as Of Counsel in 2018. In that role she has taken on trial preparation, motion practice and courtroom appearances. The title reflects an experienced lawyer who provides substantive contributions to firm matters while working alongside the firm’s partners and associates. Her time at Bottar Law has coincided with continued courtroom activity in central New York and the metropolitan federal courts.

Her professional affiliations underline an interest in trial work and local bar affairs. She holds membership in the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Central New York Women’s Bar Association. She is also a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association. Those memberships connect her to peers who handle civil litigation, trial advocacy and local judicial issues.

Colleagues describe her as a steady presence in case preparation and an advocate accustomed to the procedural demands of state and federal practice. She has worked on matters that require close coordination with clients, experts and co-counsel. Her courtroom practice draws on her standing in the federal districts and on the New York bar, enabling her to pursue litigation strategies tailored to each tribunal’s procedures.

Fischmann remains rooted in central New York legal circles while practicing through Bottar Law, PLLC. She continues to represent clients in state and federal courts and engages with professional groups that emphasize trial technique and local bar service. Her current practice focuses on litigation in New York and appearances in the Southern and Northern Districts of New York.
