About Kristin
Kristin Matsko practices estate planning and elder law in Providence, Rhode Island. She joined the Rhode Island Bar Association in 2004 after earning her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. The firm focuses on helping clients navigate complex estate matters, ensuring that their wishes are honored and their assets are protected. Her undergraduate degree — a B.A. in Crime, Law & Justice — was obtained from Pennsylvania State University in 2000.
During her time in law school, she developed a strong interest in estate planning, which has shaped her career. Since becoming an attorney, she has worked extensively with families to create wills, trusts, and other essential documents. Most of her practice involves advising clients on estate planning strategies and elder law issues. She assists families in understanding the implications of their decisions, particularly regarding long-term care and asset protection. Cases typically range from simple wills to more complex trust arrangements, as well as guardianship matters for elderly clients. Before becoming an associate in 2007, she worked working in various legal settings — Her involvement in the Rhode Island Bar Association has been significant.
She serves on the Annual Meeting Planning Committee and the Probate & Trust Committee. Her leadership extends to the Rhode Island Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, where she serves as President pro tem.
